Well we have hit the beginning of winter! A most favorite time of the year for me. Warm slippers and cups of warm tea inside and cross country skiing outside.
Winter solstice brings about new beginnings and burning your grumps. Taking the time to let go of things you may have held onto all this year. It’s in great preparation for the new year! My family has listened to the book “the life changing magic of tidying up” and are taking a whole new look at our home and what we want from each of the spaces. It has been the best project for our family unit. This project may take us 6 months to complete but we will simplify our surroundings and bring every space to what we all want to feel in them. I will not be rolling all of my socks as the book suggests, but will be taking each item in our home and understanding if it gives me joy!
I got this quote today and felt it to be very fitting to closing out the year. “The first to apologize is the bravest. The first to forgive is the strongest. The first to forget is the happiest.” Start your year brace, strong, and happy! May everyone enjoy the moment as it is presented to you!
